Hey there!
There’s a kind of tired that sleep doesn’t touch. The kind that builds little by little—between deadlines, decisions, and the constant effort of holding things together. We keep showing up, even when our batteries are long past low, because life doesn’t exactly wait for us to recharge.
Our body notices before we do. It speaks quietly but firmly: stiff shoulders, tense jaws, that tiny bit of pain somewhere in the body that never quite lets up. We brush it off, tell ourselves it’s normal, and keep going. But there’s only so long the body can run on resilience before it starts asking for something else.
And maybe that’s the truth we rarely name—that resilience has been asked of us again and again. We’ve learned to keep going through what no one should have to get used to, to smile even when the weight feels unfair. Over time, strength turned into survival, and survival became the norm. But even the strongest hearts need room to rest. We deserve lives that feel lighter, where care and empathy isn’t something we have to earn.
Sometimes the hardest thing is pretending we’re fine when we don’t have the choice to pause. Life doesn’t wait, not for bills, not for problems, not for anyone. Still, there are quiet seconds in between, the kind that slip by unnoticed…maybe it’s a deep breath before another task, a moment for yourself before bed, a gentle hand easing a tired muscle or a comforting scent that lulls you to sleep. They’re small and fleeting but they remind that we still deserve a little ease even when the world doesn’t make space for it.
Strength doesn’t have to be loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s just the act of carrying on, even when the weight feels heavier than it should.
If you’re still standing, even a little wobbly, that’s enough for today. Breathe, try and take care of yourself first so you have the space to take care of everyone else. The world asks a lot from us. The least we can do is meet it with a body that’s cared for, not just carried along. I hope you’re safe.
Show me your bottle and I’ll show you mine? ’Til next time! 🌈
xo, L.
