Hey there! 🙋♀️
The holidays are officially over, and for most of us, it’s back to the daily grind—office, school, or whatever hustle we’re chasing. I don’t know about you though, but I’m feeling the post-holiday haze. 🫣 You know, that mix of nostalgia for the feasts and get togethers but also feeling a tiny bit bad for all the eating. 😅
New Year’s resolutions though? Oh, I still make them. Every. Single. Year. 📅 Did I accomplish them throughout the years…well…no.. BUT this time, though, I’m serious about one thing: taking better care of myself. I’m already in my mid-30s, as you know, and I’ve decided I want to well-age through them. 😝 (Well-age: think thriving, glowing, and fewer random “ang sakit ng likod ko!” moments. 😂)
But let’s talk about what happened during the holidays and it may not just be me--- I binged. I ate. I conquered. Endless pasta dishes, loads of rice, unlimited ulam, chocolate chip cookies galore and all the junk food and sweets I can eat. 🍫🍪 Honestly, I think I consumed more sweets in two weeks than I usually do in six months. 🫣 And the weight? Let’s just say I put on so much that I feel it in my bones. Something’s off, and my body is not shy about letting me know.
Here’s the thing about sugar—it’s sneaky. Remember our endless blogs on it? Beyond the extra calories and the sugar rush that turns into a sugar crash, it’s a major culprit in triggering inflammation. And inflammation? We know it’s really one of the things that kickstart every single disease you can think of. 🙈 Chronic inflammation caused by too much sugar can lead to a host of complications, from joint pain to fatigue, and even more serious stuff like heart problems and diabetes. Not exactly the kind of baggage I want to carry through 2025, and I’m confident to assume not that kind you want on yours too.
So, what’s the plan? First, I’m cutting back on the sugar. Second, I’m giving my body the extra support it needs with ⚪Oleia Softgels⚪ as they’re packed with anti-inflammatory ingredients like Cetyl Myristoleate, Olive Oil, and Moringa Seed Oil. They help calm the inflammation and support my body as I detox from my holiday indulgence. And… that’s it.. for now. Little steps for bigger change as to be totally honest with you, I’m not yet in that very healthy mindset—and that’s okay. ☺️
It’s not about punishing myself for enjoying the holidays. It’s about showing my body a little love and care after putting it through a sugar marathon. 🏃♀️ Because, let’s face it, we deserve to feel good in our own skin—even after the noche Buena, media noche and its endless leftovers.
To a healthier, happier year ahead. Let’s embrace our resolutions, one small step (and softgel) at a time. It’ll be great! ✨ Show me your bottle and I’ll show you mine? ‘Til next time! 💝
