Hey there! 😇
As you know, I’m very committed to intermittent fasting (IF) right now, trying to lose weight and getting healthy. ✨ You are too huh? Got invested from our last research on this? 😏 I totally get it—we like losing the kilos and feeling all healthy! 🙌 Let's unpack this together more and see how we can make it work for us as we strive to make this work? Let’s go!
Okay, so intermittent fasting---to recap—it's basically like giving our body a little break from eating for a while. Not like starving ourselves or anything, but just taking some time off from eating a lot. 😝 Now, there are a bunch of ways to do this whole IF thing, but let's start with something simple: the 12-hour fasting method. 🕛 Basically, we pick a 12-hour window where we don't eat anything, like from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Easy peasy, right? Plus, most of that time, we'll be asleep, so it's pretty doable in my opinion. 🤔
Next one and this is what I’ve started doing, is what’s called the 16:8 method. 🕧 Wherein we fast for 16 hours and then have an 8-hour window to eat. In my case, my eating window is 12nn-8pm every day. Which I find easy to tolerate and practically a new normal for me now. 😊
But if all else fail or our body becomes accustomed to our current fast, there’s always the 5:2 diet, where we eat normally for five days and then dial it back a bit on the other two. Like, we're talking 500-600 calories on those days. 🙈 It's kind of like a mini-challenge, but it could be fun to mix things up a bit, I guess? I would like to extra stress out that this would be very much a challenge. Especially for me! I really like eating... 🙋♀️
Another point I wanted to research and share today is how we should break the fast? I mean it makes sense that the first thing we eat after a fast would be the most important and beneficial right? And some experts do say that breaking our fast with the Mediterranean diet, which is as we know is a good anti-inflammatory and very healthy diet is the best way. 🥗 So, it means our supplementing with ✨Oleia Softgels✨ will be great too! 🤩
When it comes to fasting and breaking our fast, it’s a purely individual choice on how well we can tolerate it. Remember that seeking the advice of our healthcare professionals before starting the fast is always a good thing! 👩⚕️ Staying hydrated, eating nutrient-rich foods and maybe getting a buddy to do it with (pick meeee! 🙋♀️) can help us stay on track and feel amazing.
So, what do you think, dear reader? Ready to give intermittent fasting a whirl? Let's do this together and see where it takes us on our journey to feeling fabulous! 🌟 Keep me in loop when you start? Show me your bottle and I’ll show you mine? ‘Til next time! 👋
