Hey there!

Ā
Happy New Year 2026! š
Ā
Ā
If the holidays felt like they flew by in a blur of food, fireworks, and family, youāre not alone. December always feels long⦠until it suddenly⦠isnāt. šØ One minute weāre planning handa, gifts and outfits, the next weāre welcoming a brand-new year with hope in our hearts and a lot of food in our bellies.
Ā
Ā
Iām writing this just after waking up from New Yearās salubong, and let me tell youālast night was a lot in the best and most exhausting way. Fireworks lighting up the sky, tables packed with food, family gathered together, and yes, more games. Always the games.Ā š Thereās laughter, competition, prizes, and that collective energy that keeps everyone going long past midnight. And collective energy, I mean the chismis. Lol jk.
Ā
Ā
But hereās the part my body would like to formally complain about. Eating a big meal at exactly 12 midnight and then trying to sleep at 3am? Not great for me. At all. I tossed and turned, felt uncomfortably full, and didnāt really fall into proper sleep until much later.Ā šŖ Add in the standing, moving, cheering, and competing, and I woke up feeling every single year of my age today. Tight shoulders, sore legs, and justā¦tired.
Ā
Ā
Tbh, that feeling sharpened something for me. Not really like in my younger years where Iād go on a completely unsustainable diet and exercise hard for 2 weeks and call it quits, but more little habits that I have to build from now on. The body aches, stiffness, and fatigue made it very clear that consistency matters more than bursts of motivation. š I donāt want to lift weights or exercise just to āundoā holiday eating. I want to do it so my body can handle moments like this better. So I can enjoy celebrations fully and recover faster after. š¤
Ā
Ā
Thatās the kind of resolution that Iām making this year. Not restriction, but doing small things regularlyāmoving, lifting, mindful eating, supporting the body so it can keep up with the life I want to live. Because celebrations arenāt going anywhere, and neither are the family gatherings, games, and late nights. And Iām grateful for that. š
Ā
Ā
As we ease into the year. Hydrate. Stretch. Eat something nourishing. Maybe take a short walk. Maybe rest a little more. And if your body feels achy or inflamed, a good massage with your fave Oleia Topical Oil should do the trick. š
Ā
Ā
So hereās to 2026. To more memories, more movement, and better consistency. Because perfection is overrated. Happy New Year, and I hope today finds you rested, smiling, and ready to take the year one step at a time. š¾
