…And just like that - the year is almost over, and 2025 is just a few hours away! ✨ As we prepare to say goodbye to 2024, everyone’s getting ready to ring in the New Year with excitement, joy, and plenty of celebrations. 🍾
For some, New Year’s Eve means heading to hotel buffets, where the tables are piled high with delicious food and the atmosphere is filled with laughter and cheer. 🏨 Whether it’s a fancy hotel with a view of the city skyline or a local favorite where they hire bands and do the most elaborate New Year salubong ever, there’s something special about enjoying a meal surrounded by family, friends and equally jovial strangers, with the countdown to midnight just hours away. 🥂
Then there are those of us who love the warmth of home. 🏡 Maybe we’ll stay in, surrounded by family, enjoying homemade Media Noche with our 12 round fruits on display, cozy pajamas, and a night of games, stories, laughter and maybe a firework or two---or ten. Sparklers for the kids, and everyone jumps for joy at the stroke of midnight—hoping to grow taller. ✨
For others, the New Year wouldn’t be complete without a big family gathering at one of their houses (maybe yours?). Aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all come together to share a potluck feast and celebrate the year gone by. The food is always abundant—lechon, lumpia, and fruit salad are just the beginning. 😋 Music blaring and fireworks going off every hour, with the grandest saved for when the clock strikes 12. 🎆
No matter how we choose to celebrate, one thing is certain: New Year’s Eve is a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future with hope and excitement. 🤩 It’s a time to surround ourselves with the people we love, share in the joy of the season, and welcome 2025 with open arms. 🤗
